Bungee Jump

Nepal's ultimate rush: a 160 m (500 ft) free-fall from a steel suspension bridge into the Bhote Koshi river gorge, close to the Tibet border.

Bungee Jump — overview

Ultimate Bungy at The Last Resort may be the most spectacular bungee jump on the planet. The 160 m (500 ft) drop into the Bhote Koshi river gorge on the Nepal–Tibet border is one of the longest free-falls in the world. It was designed, built and is operated by very experienced New Zealanders to exacting international standards.

The jump site is about a 3-hour drive from Kathmandu, roughly 100 km north-east of the city and within 12 km of the Tibet border. You jump from a 166 m steel suspension bridge spanning the gorge at an altitude of about 1,100 m (3,600 ft) — some 600 ft lower than Kathmandu.

The bridge

Swiss-designed especially for bungee jumping, the bridge has a 4× safety factor and a load capacity of 41,500 kg.

Combine it

Make a weekend of it with white-water rafting or canyoning on the Bhote Koshi, or add a jump to a Kathmandu sightseeing programme. Prefer to jump in Pokhara? Ask us about the Pokhara day tour options.
