Our own family hotel, Hotel Mandala, sits in the centre of Lakeside, a few hundred metres from Phewa Lake, with three separate villas, private bathrooms, balconies and a large sunny garden. Durga Datta Pahari opened it in 1970, so you’ll often meet guests here who are on their third or fourth visit to Nepal.
